ROLE PLAY BASICS
LOCATIONS
I am comfortable doing:
Comment Chats
Notes
Forum
Skype/Discord/TeamSpeak
Google Docs
Other
My favourite place to role-play would be in forums or dedicated Google docs. I really enjoy client based role-play too (things like Second Life or MMOS)
Skype/Discord/TeamSpeak
Google Docs
Others (Line, DA notes...)
I really enjoy long term campaigns and set world setting RP, so if ideas arise about locations or events I really love hearing about it.
Up to three people
Up to four people
Five or more people
As big as possible
I most often focus on small group roleplay or one-on-one but for events and big campaigns I would be up for lots of participants!
I usually write about:
One or two sentences
One or two paragraphs
Two to five paragraphs
More than five paragraphs
A few pages worth
Varies dependent on what is going on
I am comfortable role-playing with people who write:
One or two sentences
One or two paragraphs
Two to five paragraphs
More than five paragraphs
A few pages worth
Varies dependent on what is going on
I am all right with:
Literate/Paragraph
Scripted scenarios
I definitely would rather have some planning rather than none when it comes to setting up a role-play but unless it is a very specific event, I would rather it develop naturally rather than being stuck to one set of reactions.
I usually reply:
ASAP (within minutes) after my partner's post
Within an hour
Within the same day
Within the same week
Within the same month
Longer than a month
At random/variable times
I expect my partner to reply:
ASAP (within minutes) after my partner's post
Within an hour
Within the same day
Within the same week
Within the same month
Longer than a month
At random/variable times
I like to try to set aside time every day where I can sit down and reply to role-play posts but sadly IRL takes priority. I would hate to rush anybody into a response and feel it's better to wait for a well thought response rather than try to force a fast one. And that mentality applies to me too, I want to give my best effort to posting after all!
I am okay with getting reminders to reply to an RP:
When I've mentioned I got something going on irl
When there is a deadline for the RP submission
After 5 or 10 or 15 minutes
After an hour
Within the same day
The next day
If I haven't replied in a full week
If I haven't replied in more than one week or longer
I tend to remind people to reply to an RP:
When there is a deadline for the RP submission
After 5 or 10 or 15 minutes
After an hour
Within the same day
The next day
If you haven't replied in a full week
If you haven't replied in more than one week or longer
I'm pretty good with waiting if I've been informed of what's going on, or if I just really enjoyed where the RP was going. More than 2 weeks without communication is when I will likely start to poke about and find out what's going on. ; v; I don't like to close on-going RP, but if all response stops it means the story gets removed from the timeline of events. The chances are if I haven't responded IC or even said anything OOCly for a good couple of days, I have just been super busy or forgotten! Don't be afraid to just give me a poke and check in on me but try to remember IRL will always come first. I will always let people know if there will be a longer delay in my responses to RP!
If I mess something up in RP, I'm comfortable fixing it when...
- I've broken the laws of physics or it's immersion breaking
- I missed something in someone's post.
- I missed something about someone's character.
- It makes a whole lot of sense.
- There's a great opportunity to make plot/story.
- Other
- Never
I expect my RP partner to:
To have read my character sheet before we RP
To not read my character app at all before we RP
To read as much of my character app as is reasonable to go on before we RP
To read more of my character app as it becomes relevant/necessary
For RP I don't expect to meet a character for the first time and be faced with the situation where they already know every detail about my character, it's a little immersion breaking when things like that happen. Unless the situation calls for certain details to already be known: for instance, if my OC were a well known thief/villain and you had come across a wanted poster or been hired to capture me, you're much more likely to know my general appearance and name.
When I ask for role-plays
From friends and acquaintances
From friends only
I love meeting and getting to know new people, and especially if anyone has shown interest in wanting to role-play, I rarely say no!
SHIPPING
I am comfortable shipping my characters:
Never
Our character know each other deeply
Our character know each other deeply, and I know I can trust the role-player
At the first sign of flirting
Only if the role-player and I plan it
It depends on the character
If you want to ship with my characters:
Talk to me about it from the start
Talk to me about it once our characters know each other
Talk to me about it once they both have some feelings for each other
Talk to me about it when they finally decide that want to go beyond hugging
When shipping my characters, I like the romance to happen:
Swift as lightening
Fast, but not super fast
Happens in about three months
Slow and steady wins the race
Slugs know what's up
My relationships know no speed. They happen if they happen
A lot of my characters are single, and the ones who aren't are still rather flexible. It depends on how often and how detailed the RP is but shipping is very possible! If it happens naturally in RP then you are much more likely to happen than asking OOCly to hook up, I don't RP for the ships!
I am okay with my characters being touched if:
It's not romantic/sexual
It's not violent
It's something that usually happens (e.g.: shaking hands when you meet someone).
You check with me first
It depends on the character
SMUT
When my characters gets intimate, I prefer:
To skip the act entirely
To write the build up, but skip the act
To write the act only if it is very special, but otherwise skip it
To write the act all the way through
If something develops naturally over the course of a long-term RP that's brilliant, but don't be scared to just say you're interested in pursuing a ship with my characters even before we start! Just remember that it's never a guarantee that ships will happen. It could end up being just a casual fling if that's how the story rolls.
When it comes to artwork depicting our relationship please:
Do not post it at all without talking to me
Post it if it is cuddles and hugs
Post it if it is kisses
Post it if it is much more
Do not post it at all if it depicts sexual acts
Do not post it where I can see it, but draw what you like
When it comes to violent situations, I am comfortable with:
No violence at all
I'm fine with verbal arguments
Some violence, like a paper cut, or an accidental elbow to the face
Mild violence, such as punching, kicking, hair pulling
Violence, such as stabbings
Beyond violence, such as torture and more
If you are going to do something violent, please:
Attempt the action and give a chance to avoid/respond
Don't do it at all
Talk to me about it first
Surprise me
I'm free for all things dramatic but please, please remember never to auto-hit or complete an entire action without giving me the chance to really respond!
Do not post any dramatic scenes that that happened between our characters
Talk to me about it before posting
Post what you like
I am fine with art being done of my characters:
If it's In character
If you don't know me/barely know me
If you are my friend
If you ask me first
Never
Only if it's a finished/polished piece
I'm a massive lover of RP related artwork and doodles, so I'll never say no!
